Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Tempest Logic website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.

Services Description

Tempest Logic provides financial education programmes for children and teenagers in Edinburgh. Our services include group workshops, individual mentoring, and family financial education sessions.

Enrollment and Registration

To enroll a child in our programmes:

  • You must be the parent or legal guardian of the child
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must ensure the child attends scheduled sessions
  • You agree to pay all applicable fees

Payment Terms

Programme fees are stated in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Payment is due before the programme commences unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing. We offer payment plans for some programmes; contact us to discuss options.

Refund Policy

  • Full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before programme start
  • 50% refund if you cancel 7-14 days before programme start
  • No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before start or after programme has begun
  • Exceptions may be made for genuine emergencies at our discretion

Attendance and Participation

Regular attendance is important for learning outcomes. If a child misses sessions:

  • We will provide materials for missed content where possible
  • No refund or credit is given for missed sessions
  • Excessive absences may result in removal from the programme without refund

Behaviour Expectations

Children enrolled in our programmes are expected to:

  • Treat instructors and other participants respectfully
  • Participate constructively in activities
  • Follow safety guidelines and instructions

We reserve the right to remove any child whose behaviour disrupts learning or poses a safety concern. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

Our Responsibilities

We commit to:

  • Providing high-quality financial education
  • Maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Employing qualified, DBS-checked educators
  • Protecting children's personal information
  • Following safeguarding procedures

Safeguarding

The safety of children in our programmes is paramount. All staff are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding. We follow all relevant UK safeguarding legislation and guidance. If we have concerns about a child's welfare, we will follow appropriate reporting procedures, which may include contacting relevant authorities.

Intellectual Property

All materials provided during programmes, including workbooks, exercises, and educational content, are the intellectual property of Tempest Logic. They are provided for personal use by enrolled students only and may not be reproduced, shared, or used commercially without written permission.

Photography and Recording

We may occasionally take photographs during sessions for internal use or promotional materials. Parents will be asked for consent separately. You may opt out without affecting enrollment.

Limitation of Liability

While we provide financial education, we do not provide financial advice or recommendations for specific financial products. Our programmes teach principles and skills; individual financial decisions remain the responsibility of families.

We take reasonable care to ensure information taught is accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or financial results from applying learned concepts.

Programme Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify programme content to improve quality or reflect current information
  • Reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances (we will provide reasonable notice)
  • Cancel programmes with insufficient enrollment (full refund provided)
  • Change instructors if necessary

Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
  • Use the site in any way that damages or disrupts it
  • Collect information about other users
  • Transmit malicious code or harmful content

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
